Congratulations to Hanh Ngyuen from Xencor for winning our $5,000 Large-Scale Sanger Sequencing grant. Xencor focuses on antibody engineering and therapeutics to develop treatments for autoimmune disorders, cancer, asthma and allergic diseases.

Creature Comforts Brewing Co.

Congratulations to Daniel LePage, PhD for winning our $5000 Next Generation Sequencing grant. His project will use metagenomics sequencing to identify the complete microbiome of brewing mixed cultures. This research would greatly increase the current knowledge surrounding mixed culture fermentation and help direct the craft brewing industry into new and exciting frontiers.

Rikhia Chakraborty, PhD

Assistant Professor, Baylor College of Medicine

Congratulations to Dr. Rikhia Chakraborty for winning our $5000 Antibody Immuno-Profiling grant. Her project will sequence T-cell receptors in the tumor microenvironment in hopes of designing combinatorial therapies for pediatric cancer.

Congratulations to Robert Shaffer from Valerion Therapeutics for winning our Regulatory Services GENEWIZ WEEK Grant. Robert and his company work on the development of bio-therapeutics for orphan genetic diseases by utilizing a proprietary antibody-mediated delivery platform.

Ashley focuses on optimizing and subsequently develop direct-acting antibiotics based on new chemical scaffolds to treat drug-resistant Gram-negative infections such as complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI).
